Infrastructure & Provider

OnePoundEmail is powered by MXroute, a specialist email infrastructure provider. MXroute operates the underlying servers, storage, spam filtering, and delivery systems that every OnePoundEmail account runs on.

We operate as a reseller of MXroute's infrastructure under multiple reseller agreements. This means the technical backbone of your email service is underpinned by an established, independent business.

We chose MXroute because of their focus on email as a core product, their transparency with resellers, and their responsiveness when issues arise. You can learn more about them at mxroute.com.

Fraud Screening

All new sign-ups are automatically screened against FraudRecord, an industry-wide abuse database used by hosting providers worldwide. Applicants flagged as high-risk are refused service without obligation.

Confirmed abusers are reported back to FraudRecord after termination, contributing to the wider ecosystem of protection for other providers.

Revenue Breakdown

We believe in being open about how the business generates income. The figures below reflect the overall split between full-priced and promotional packages across our customer base.

70.3%
Full-priced packages
29%
Promotional packages
0.7%
Discrepancies
Full-priced (70.3%) Promotional (29%) Discrepancies (0.7%)

The majority of revenue comes from customers on standard, full-priced plans. Promotional packages - typically sold during limited-time events - make up a significant minority. The small discrepancy figure accounts for rounding and edge cases in billing data.
